I am sure this is somewhere on the forum but I can't find it.

Simple inquiry: DODMERB results are good for two years. For college re-applicants who applied last year but were turned down, does their DODMERB automatically repopulate or is there something the candidate is supposed to do?

As always, USNA.edu saves the day:

I don't think there is anything required of the candidate, because USNA knows someone is a re-applicant and when they applied, and DODMERB results will be available.

I sent a quick note to a USNA '16 sponsor daughter who was a college re-applicant. She said she didn't recall having to do anything except confirm nothing had changed. Of course, things can and do change WRT how the process works. Your applicant can ask.

DODMERB is good for two years. They ask if anything has changed. If it has (e.g., broken bone, surgery), additional information and/or an exam may be required.

My DD had her wisdom teeth removed after her turndown and before reapplying. On her DODMERB form, she wrote she had her wisdom teeth removed, and because they ask about new prescriptions, she listed the antibiotics and painkillers associated with the surgery. They did not ask any further questions.

Sorry to get into the process weeds, but are candidates sent an update inquiry?
