Hello all!
I just wanted to verify if I had properly completed everything for DoDMERB so far.
Online, I have a check mark next to each step except the "go to your medical exams", as I have scheduled them for next week.
If I have a check next to everything, does that mean I am completely done?
Also, do I just print out the exam packet I filled out and bring it to both the optometric and the medical providers or just the medical provider?

Thank you very much!
Dave

Sorry to not be answering your question, Nam, but, I have a question: how long did it take to schedule an appointment w/ the DoDMERB? And how long did it last?

Thanks!

I went to the optometric without anything. All the forms were there. The packet is for medical. Once you go to all your exams and successfully take them I believe you are done, unless you need a remedial or something.

Bill - Do you mean actually getting the DODMERB letter or the actual appointments? I got the letter two weeks ago and I scheduled my optometric three days later and my medical for this Thursday. It wasn't too long to schedule so far, except I had issues with my medical. ACtual appointment times - My opto. was about 20 mins waiting, 10 for the actual check-up. I haven't done medical yet but the letter says expect an hour for check-up.

I'm not sure if overseas candidates have any differences though.

Good luck guys!

Has anyone heard if they've passed DoDMERB yet?

I know that I might be able to do the medical examination in a physician back home.

The problem I am having is that I did not get the letter yet! My SAT scores only got received by WP on the 1st week of July, though - if that makes any difference.

Ideas?

Is your file open and everything? If so I thought you would have gotten some form of correspondence.

If it is you could try sending an e-mail seeing if DODMERB has your info yet.

I sent my scores in late June and it took a couple weeks for them to accept it and send me the DoDMERB material. I would think that your DoDMERB mail is on its way right now or it will be soon.

so Ken, I am technically done with everything so far (with the exception of actually getting the exams)? And I just bring the form to the medical correct?

Thanks ya'll! :)

Yeah. Got my transcripts in and some of the forms. Everything (except maybe the candidate statements) should be marked this week.

I am just hoping that the forms will get home this week (standard international mail delay... which was not an issue with the SLS apps, however). Otherwise, there might be something wrong :(

NamD - Yup. Just go to your exams and bring the forms to the medical.

Bill - I am also thinking you would get it soon, but if not just shoot some e-mails.

Apparently my SSN is not registered in DoDMETS... I will just wait a few more days and recontact them. Hopefully I'll get the mail by then :thumb:

DS completed his physicals last week. Everything closed and submitted to DODMERB last Friday. He wanted to get that done early because he is expecting a remedial for finger tendon surgery his freshman year.

I haven't gone to medical yet, but I did go to the optometrist. It was pretty easy in my opinion. I waited about 20 minutes, went in and did the basic tests from a normal eye doctor check up. There were a couple tests for color blindness and depth perception, but nothing really complicated.

Personally I'm just worried about it because I have bad eyesight.

Entered into DoDMERB system 6/16
Called for Appointments 6/20 when letter arrived.
Eye appointment 6/24; medical 6/27
Exam received by DoDMERB 7/5
Exam reviewed and status letter sent 7/7

DS followed the progress online. There are numbers to call if it stalls. There is a great workflow diagram of the process at https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/Content/InitExamRemedEvalProc.pdf. Review it to understand the lingo.

I've heard a few ways to get a DoDMERB. How do you get an appointment and schedule it? I've been told that they contact you. Is that true?

RunKumpRun - It looks like you went to SLS and probably have been able to access the Candidate Portal to complete the SSK. If you did go to SLS and have submitted SAT or ACT test scores, then more than likely your name, SSN, etc. sent to DoDMERB by USMA.

1) You can check the DoDMERB site: https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/ApplicationCheck.aspx
If you get in, you will see if your information was sent to Concorde (DoDMETS).

2) Log into DoDMETS to schedule Medical Exams: https://www.dodmets.com/AppLogIn.aspx

I hope this helps and good luck!
