Is the deadline for completing the DODMERB January 31st or March 31st?

I have heard both but I’m not sure.

DODMERB exams 23 Nov. Vision says they sent to the Civ Team the same day...medical 10 days later. Here is is 18 Dec and the DODMETS sites still show they havven't received and/or processed them. Is this usual. We emailed the last-name specified POC at DODMERB and he said it could take up to 30 days to process...with it had already been 30 on the vision and 20 in the medical. Should we be concerned or just sit tight?

Should we be concerned or just sit tight? (We implies a parent...)

Applicant may email me: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; past PARENT email to APPLICANT email :wiggle:

On the USNA CIS's My Progress tab is fully completed (including Nom) but the Medical Exam. Thus far, I am not contacted by DODMERB. I communicated with Admissions and they know about the delay and just asked me to wait. I know that decision can be made without med exam results. However, with such speed of processing, what if I won't start and finish med exam by 1 Mar?

Medical stuff percolates right up to the end of the Admissions cycle. If you do everything you have control over inside deadlines, you are fine.
I suspect @MullenLE , Deputy Director of DoDMERB, may pop up to help clarify your situation by offering to communicate with you offline.

Thanks a lot @Capt MJ for your comment. I've communicated with highly respected @MullenLE and he confirmed that the ball is on the USNA field yet. Nevertheless, are there many (any) cases when candidates still taking their med exams in March or April?

This year is unlike any other, which we are all tired of noting.

Your official sources have told you to sit tight. So that’s what you do. You tend your alternate plans, PT, enjoy family and friends, PT some more.

I’m in the same boat as you. Wasn’t sent a medical email until the 1st, and wasn’t able to schedule things until January due to the holidays and making appointments. It makes me nervous, and my portal says the same thing. I’ve emailed people and they haven’t responded. I know it takes 7-10 business days for CIV to receive DODMERB packets, and then after they process it, it takes 2-4 weeks for DODMERB itself to process. I’m not sure when it’s best to have it in, but this thread has been helpful.

1. Don't be confused. You were not downloaded to DoDMERB by USNA and USCGA until 30 Nov.
2. As Capt MJ said, DoDMERB deadline for both is NOT 31 Dec:wiggle:
