DODMERB Determination Error

My son was disqualified for something where we provided medical records of a medical test as evidence that he does NOT have this specified medical condition? Is a medical waiver still required due to an error in determination or is there an appeal process within the DODMERB process to have it reviewed by a higher authority? Thanks for any advice that is available out there. Thanks.
