Hello, My son is trying to find a concentra location to go get his exam. The one automatically assigned in his portal is close to home however, he is away at boarding school so wanted to go to a location nearer to there. The Concentra location assigned told him he can go to any of their locations. 4 locations we called had no idea what this exam was ( when telling them it was for Dodmerb) . One said they required the eye exam to be done first which is not what his portal said. Other locations said they dont have a Dr. certified to perform this type of exam. This is the same kind of exam as what the nurses are referring to as Rotc exam correct? Are these exams always on a walk in basis? It is a full day of traveling to go get him at school and many hoops to go through to get him out of school due to Covid rules for him take him for this test so I want to be sure the location can perform it. Thank you!

Eye exam is supposed to be first. Concentra for both my DS and DD would not schedule physical unless eye exam was done prior (DD had on same day in August) Did he contact CIV team on DODMETS for a new provider? The exam is NOT walk in because DODMETS has to forward documentation to the provider. CIV may have other provider closer to boarding school, especially if there are any bases near him.

Your son should call the DoDMETS staff, contact info at link below, discuss what he wants to do, and let them get the ball rolling to authorize the work under the contract.

FACTS: Concentra is NOT the government contractor. While there are Concentra facilities that are used, depending on location, it may NOT be the Civ Team contracted facility. The reason he was assigned where he was, was because that was the address we were provided...without him notifying Civ Team that he was at another location...there would have been no way for Civ Team to know that.

I would be reasonably safe in assuming, if your son reads the instructions on the DoDMETS website, he will be able to figure this all out on his own. If he runs into any problems, he can email me: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4; past the posting from bibbly2017 above to his email. :wiggle:
