DS is re-applicant. Last year was DQ'd medically. Wondering what the DoDMERB for re-applicants looks like. DS has heard it's anywhere from a simple form verifying that nothing as changed to having to get a full review again b/c of the DQ status. Insights appreciated.

Have you checked the re-applicant/college applicant section of the SA admission web pages? If not there, call admissions.

For example, here's USNA:

DODMERB is good for two years. So, if they had a DQ last year, they will have a DQ this year. The hope is that there was enough improvement in the file that the SA requests a waiver for that medical condition. If you provided all that you were asked last year to DODMERB regarding the condition, you just need to patiently wait and see if the SA requests a waiver. If that happens, there may be additional information they seek. I have seen others recommend that you contact your admissions contact and respectfully inquire if they are going to ask for a waiver. My understanding is if they are considered a highly competitive candidate or someone likely to win their slate, the waiver will be requested.
