Long story short. DS took medical/audio exam mid Oct. Medical seemed fine but issues with hearing. Wife called the Dr back after she got home and they told her next person had issues too, audio machine broken. DS went back the next week and appeared to fail audio test again. Granted, we have not received results from DODMerb, but based on the numbers the audio tech gave us, one or two measurements were failing.

Scheduled appointment with ENT and had that today. Hearing tested normal, actually excellent. I asked son to email academy counselors. I suppose we will get direction from Academies on how to proceed...

Any thoughts/advice?

Thx,

fax passing hearing exam to DoDMERB.

I did not know that you could fax documents to DoDMERB. I thought it was their Dr's, etc, etc. I looked on the FAQ and saw that you could fax medical information (up to 15 pages) related to your records. Will fax the Dr's results in the morning.

Amybody do this, and what were the results?

Thx Go Army!

Fax

Faxed medical records to DoDMERB without a problem. Call to confirm receipt.
Worked out fine.

Scan and email is an option

During our year-long DQ/Waiver review, we scanned documents and emailed them as well. I usually on sent 1 or 2 scanned pages at a time.

DS is now medically qualified as the proactive approach worked in our case. The DODMERB documentation/status showed a remedial (the ENT exam and results that we scheduled). This forum is great and I hope this information is helpful to someone else.
