DODMERB Qualified

Good Morning thread :)!

Like all, I have attempting to patiently wait for my DODMERB qualification that I finished October 24th. Which would complete the final contingency on my LOA.

Well, I took a longggg nap today and have just arisen from slumber.

I was happy to find that I was deemed medically qualified on November 28th.

Does this mean that DODMERB has worked through backlogs up to and probably past October 24?

I hope all receive great news in this joyous month

Question: Was October 24th the date posted by DODMETS as the date your case was “Closed” and file sent to DODMERB? And, did you find out you were deemed qualified from an email from DODMERB or a service academy portal change indicating such?

Normally it takes DODMERB two or three weeks to clear a candidate (if qualified with no AIM requires) but in this “DODMERB Down” period who knows what that is doing to the process, I will say that the DODMERB landing page states that files for qualified candidates are being sent to the service academy in batches about every two weeks.

Yes, October 24th was the day my case was closed and sent to DODMERB.

I found out I was qualified through my USMA portal, but I have yet to receive an email from DODMERB themselves.
 
Sounds like congratulations are in order! If you have fulfilled all of your LOA conditions you should soon have very good news soon. I have one son currently at USMA now and another headed there next year. Enjoy the Army / Navy game with added enthusiasm this weekend! My son said bonfire last night at USMA was amazing.
 
My DS was "case closed" and sent to DODMERB on 10/4. No issues during the exam. Still no update on his USNA portal.
 
My DD was "case closed" and sent to DoDMERB on 10/19. No issues during the exam. She got her checkmark yesterday on the USNA portal so we assume that means she has passed the DoDMERB exam portion of her application requirements and all other tasks are marked completed. She has two nominations but no LOA. We are hoping to hear something soon but I guess you don't know how long it could be. 🙏
 
I emailed DoDMERB on Monday for my DS medical status and received a reply this morning that they are going through the backlog of exams in the order it was received. DoDMETS case is closed as of 10/28/2022, and at the same time, it was sent to DoDMERB on that date. I received an email again this afternoon that his exam was reviewed, and he qualified for WP as of today. The moral lesson gives them time to review and follow up with email. It was exactly 6 weeks as of today to make a final decision.

Did it show on the WP portal? Curious about how long it takes for academies to process after DoDMERB sent an email.
