Is it normal to receive a letter about scheduling a medical exam before receiving an admissions decision? I applied regular decision and got a letter from DoDMERB today but have not yet gotten an admissions decision.
Thanks

If USCGA is like the other SAs, you have to be medically qualified before you will be given an appointment, so yes -- candidates will schedule their medical first.

Yes, Absolutely. My son applied in August, and was referred to DODMERB by USNA even before he applied to USCGA. If you received an appointment offer and you haven't been cleared yet, it will be a conditional appointment pending DODMERB.

If you're applying to the class of 2018, schedule that medical exam as soon as possible. If there are any medical issues that need clearing after your exam, it may take you some time to do that. Don't wait.
