My son is currently a college sophomore in AFROTC and has recently completed the DoDMERB. He's passed the eye exam for pilot and has passed the physcal fitness test.

He has been selected for a rated slot for field training this summer. However, he said he may need to get a waiver because he put that he had allergies and hyperhydrosis (sweating disorder). He has never been diagnosed with alergies, nor Hyperhydrosis. He sweats like any other male in the south on a hot summer day.

That's the only thing he could think of that he possibly had so he put it down. Little did he know, he'd have to get a waiver for this. Is there any way to retract this with an MD's letter through DoDMERB? If so, who does the Doctor send it to? He's running out of time in order to be able to go to Field Training with his class.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

He is going to have a flight physical if he gets the pilot slot which is where this kind of issue may be cleared up. However, now that i think about it, they may not get give him a slot if they think he has an issue. I coiuld be wrong but rated slots are given Junior year. The fact that he is going to Field Training doesnt mean he has one
