Good day all,

As I was filling out that first DodMets form, I reported a history of Bloody Noses and it has backfired. My intentions were just to be completely upfront but am now misunderstood. I was never diagnosed with any health concerns regarding bloody noses, nor have I been to the ER or anything, or have had it cause worry. I live in the midwest so we use a wood boiler and the air in my house is dry, oftentimes when I shower (I like the water very hot) I will get a bloody nose that lasts seconds. Or later in the mornings I will get one and just stuff a kleenex up my nose and the small amount of blood is already dried up. Sorry these details are gross. Anyway, my medical status is on hold because of the reported bloody noses. It says:

Please contact all treating providers, request and provide all clinical records regarding diagnosis and treatment of nose bleeds (epistaxis)

Forgive me but I have no idea what to do considering the fact that this isn’t in my medical history and I once casually mentioned to my physician about it and it was excused. Could anyone tell me what steps I should take? I have no idea if I should schedule an appt or get a letter from my doctor? Thank you!

This happened to DS. His doctor wrote a letter (see attached) that cleared it up.

Deep breath. You’ll get through this.
