DoDMERB Timeline

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in information as to how/when I can take the DoDMERB. The USMA application timeline places the DoDMERB process beginning July 1 between my junior and senior years, which is soon approaching (I am a current junior). How exactly is the process started? I would like to get it done ASAP once it becomes available.

You can't start DodMERB until they (USMA in this case) sends you the paperwork. The usual answer on the boards is that you have to have more than half of your application done before they send you to medical, but my son had his DodMERB paperwork in Sept. and we had the entire process (including extra paperwork submissions) done in about 6 weeks. I can't tell you who requested medical so early in the process (3 academy apps plus NROTC) but it was great to get that process completed quickly.
