Dodmerb website down

One can only imagine what the stress level has been this past week at DoDMERB.
It would be nice if we as a Forum group, who have benefitted tremendously from instant access to help and advise for several years, could be more supportive and less critical.
None of us here know the true issues surrounding this down time no matter our experience.
So let's show some graciousness and patience and trust that hurculean efforts are being made to bring the site up and operational again.

Well put, buff81. I suspect those who have criticized were merely venting in the heat of the moment. I don't think that there is anyone on SAF who really could not appreciate the fine work that DoDMERB and others are doing on their behalf. Those who don't appreciate it definitely need to take a step back and watch the "Everything's amazing, but nobody's happy" video to really reorganize their perspective on things. While that video may be funny, there is a very serious message being conveyed.

it has been down for over a week, no one can access it
the site is supposed to be fixed by today though

When the site comes up, I will post to the website:thumb:

Mr. Mullen - Since the website has been down my son has received a letter updating his status. Is this information also forwarded to USNA via the mail or will that wait until the website is up?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is forwarded electronically via the website.:thumb:

Mr. Mullen,
So does that mean the information is still going out with the website down?

I don't thin so.... USNA told us they have to wait for DoDMERB site to come up so they can download the medical record.

Still have fax and phone capabilities

You can still call them and fax information to DoDMERB. Although USNA and ROTC can't see web site, they were able to verify a change through Mr. Mullen via email, and today, I received a letter from DoDMERB and I will email it to the USNA and ROTC. Then if they want to verify the letter, they can email or call DoDMERB. There are ways to continue working on what you need to take care of without the web site.

blueridge, can you please provide DodMERB's phone/fax number? Mr. Mullen had e-mailed our medical exam information to USNA, but apparently USNA still needs to download the information from DoDMERB site. Thanks.

Today is the two week anniversary of the DoDMERB site being down.

Is there any way to "back door" the website and somehow submit my information to my academy? it's the only thing holding up my appointment and BFE.

Beyond.

Beyond - I'm in the same situation as you. The admission counselor at usna told me that waiting for the Dodmerb site to be fixed is the best option. What is more important is that your appointment wil in no way be jeopardized by the delay Dodmerb has caused.

I am a little confused since you are already positive/assured about the appointment to USNA? I guess I do not understand the big hurry. Call the USNA admissions office and they should give you the numbers that you need as I would guess that there are different individuals for different academies, ROTC, as well as different fax numbers. Also, if you have a number for DoDMERB, you can call them directly and they will give you the fax number that you need.
Hope this helps and good luck to you!
