Hello everyone, Ive recently taken my examinations to be sent to DODMERB and although I havent heard whether ive qualified or disqualified I was wondering seriously about weight. By my actual doctor's appointments I was given a height of 6 foot however I was measured as 5'11 for my examination. I now realize that this lowers the maximum for weight which I was hitting (190lbs). Just in case I was disqualified, I was wondering if I am eligible for a waiver? I almost maxed in every event for my CFA as well and was wondering if that could factor in for a waiver. Also, is it possible to just retake an examination as I can quickly drop 5-6 pounds of water in a day.
Thank you

If it's an issue, they will send you a form to be "tape tested" - per regs at http://www.apd.army.mil/pdffiles/r600_9.pdf. This is the Army's measurement of BMI, recognizing that just because you weigh a lot, you may simply have more muscle mass (ie, football players), so if your waist is trim, and your neck is thick, you're likely fine. However, be aware that failing the tape test at any point while at USMA, including R-Day, has serious consequences and can lead to immediate dismissal on R-Day or separation later on. So, if accepted, take this seriously and start running - a lot.

Thank you for the info. Luckily it was not an issue and I got my qualified status today
