Hi, DD had her medical/vision test done in September. No red flag. It says "Your DoDMETS case is complete as of 9/25/2024". When will you know whether you have passed or not?

Has she tried logging in to DoDMERB? Different log in. She can also go through all left-side menus, including Contacts, and the landing page itself to get smart on the process, if she hasn’t done that yet.

This is the time in the cycle where thousands of data chunks from thousands of applicants to 5 service academies and then all the AROTC, NROTC, AFROTC after that avalanche, are flowing toward DoDMERB. They are required to do a thorough review before posting a decision as to meets/does not meet standards. Give it a few weeks more.

The DoDMERB process does not have to be done by the application submission deadline. The process can go into the spring and later if waivers are involved.

Thanks for the tips! I will ask her to login to DoDMERB.

She does not have a medical waiver. Everything was good and she has 20/20 vision.

DD has passed the CFA, finished her interview with FFR last week, and received an LOA from West Point last Friday. She is having an MOC nomination interview next week, and waiting for a pass on medical.

At this point, it probably too soon to get a status on the DoDMERB exam.

The contractor in Philadelphia has to QC the forms first.

Once the QC is complete, it then goes to DoDMERB for review. From there, DoDMERB tries to make a decision within 72 hours of receipt from the contractor. The “within 72 hours” standard is the first look of DoDMERB. It can be Q after that first look, or it can be DQ’ed or remedials requested.

From what you say, it sounds like it can be a Q within the first look by the DoDMERB reviewers.

DoDMERB handles the disclosure of being medically qualified or needing a waiver. DoDMETS just handles facilitating the medical examinations and providing that info to DoDMERB. So if you have not heard from DoDMERB that your DD is medically qualified, you do not know for sure that she is or not. It sounds like she will be which is goo.

Have DD log in to DoDMERB and check for status. It can take several weeks to months to find out depending on the qualification determination. Fully qualified is alot shorter than needing a waiver.

@LARMY_2029 Did that help? I couldn’t go any further than Register, of course, because it asked for candidate personal identifying info. I tried to lay a bread crumb trail so others could find it if needed.

DD logged into DoDMERB, and it says “ Awaiting Receipt of Initial Medical Exam”.
