Already think I know the answer to this.

Checked my DoDMERB portal and it says my current medical status is "Withdrawn."

Is this the end of the road? I just started working on getting letters for a rebuttal.

My DS had the same message for one of the SAs but its likely because he decided to not apply to the SA and didn't complete the application.

My son had had a change to the same status and Admissions at that SA said they started a medical waiver for him and then withdrew it due to intense competition in his congressional district. Basically, without saying it in so many words they thought he wouldn't win his slate (though he was identified as a high-potential candidate) and advised him to move his nomination preferences to number 3 from number 1 for that SA given he was expected to only get one nomination (which is what happened). Admissions did say they could pick up the waiver again but very unlikely unless significant change like principal nomination (which our MOC's don't do).

This may be the end of the road for that one but I would check into it to find out for sure. I hope not for your sake.

The REAL ANSWER: Unless an applicant actually contacts us and states they are choosing to withdraw...all other "WITHDRAWN" statuses are withdrawn by the respective SA Admissions office. So contact your respective Admissions office, NOT DoDMERB.
