Sorry if this question is repetitive. I received a 4 year scholarship in December and I accepted it when do I start the medical process and physicals. I literally have heard nothing from cadet command wondering if there is something I have to do or how it works.

You should receive an email from DODMETS. Maybe Cadet Command is behind on give the names to DoDMERB... check your spam and junk mail.

My son never received an email (or it was in his junk and he didn’t look) but he signed on to the website and was able to register. There should be instructions on your paperwork from when you were awarded the scholarship

My daughter and I kept waiting for DoDMERB email after she received a scholarship during the first board, and we finally found it in her junk email on her phone. She found out about her scholarship on December 19, and the DoDMERB email came on January 8. So if you’re still looking for it, check in your junk mail or spam. The email gives you the directions about what to do next.

Mr. Mullen,
I am applying to West Point class of 2024. The only thing I have left in my application in my medical status. I completed my medical and hearing exams in late December as prompted by my portal. My status has not changed since the “scheduled in contract area” message, even though I have been tested for over a month now. I have called the Concord contractor multiple times and have been given vague information about when my status will be changed and the file will be passed on to DoDMerb. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Correct or do what I said above😀

Thanks So much I was able to get it started but I also want to know when I go for my medical exam are they gonna check you know under the hood or do any work down there. And know I didn’t indicate any problems that would require examination. Just want to know so I can be prepared don’t like surprises.😃

Also is the exam free do I have to provide any insurance information or pay any type of fees or is it totally covered?

It is totally billed to the DoD.

Do NOT give them your insurance info or you will mess things up.

In my case ROTC portal states no waiver required, but DODMERB is not updated. Cadet Command approved the waiver on Jan 15. However, there are two conditions.
1. Completion of DoDMErb Physical (which I already completed for USMA) not sure if I need another one. Can you please let me know if I need another DoDMERB physical.

Sydneynooch & Bguna = Do you see the original response I made to Wave397 in the 3rd slot at the top of this thread?? If you comply with that, I can help, otherwise, I’d just be guessing...

Wave397 = As always, AROTC-Dad is correct😁👍. Complying with the instructions on www.dodmets.com, the cost of the exams are paid by DoDMERB. We don’t pay any transportation or lodging ( there shouldn’t be any) expenses.

Was he able to sign in before he accepted the scholarship?
