My kid was being recruited for a sport at USMA
She qualified in all areas, had a good seers score but was dqd for medical
1 being possible eczema- which her Dr submitted documentation that that was a misdiagnosis and ended up just being a dry patch of skin
2 it was written “possible asthma” when she had covid but since did all the cardiopulmonary testing at the local children’s hospital disproving that possibility. We submitted an entire packet clearing her of that
3 she injured her hip 5 years ago - minor hip labrum tear. She did PT and was returned to full activity with no restriction within a year to which we’ve submitted all the documents from the children’s hospital orthopedic Dr.
I was called Friday saying there was too many medical issues and dodmers disqualified her and the superintended won’t sign off on the waivers?.
She has done amazing in her sport which wouldn’t be possible if any of the above were problematic or present.
Is there any appeals process we can pursue?
When speaking with our Drs and Coaches since they’re dumbfounded and 100% back her and are willing to go to bat for her on this…
