Hello!

Quick question on my physical and optical exam results and DODMETS:
  • When can I expect my completed physical and optical exam results to be updated onto the DODMETS "view status" page after the provider submits them?
    • I completed my physical exam and optical exam on October 8 and verified with both providers both in-person and via phone that the exam results were submitted online.
    • Currently, my status is "Incomplete" and at the bottom of the page, it says "Your case does not have all of the required examination records. It may be the medical (physical) or optometric screening."
    • The person I spoke to with the physical exam's office said it takes up to 3 days for DODMETS to review it and mark that it is uploaded correctly. I am not super versed in the intricacies of the provider's side of the process, so is that realistic/"how it works", and how long does it typically take for DODMETS to send over the completed file to DoDMERB for review?
I know this question has undoubtedly been asked and answered, but was hoping this thread might be able to compile some of the information into one so others can reference as needed.

Thanks so much for the help, and let me know if you have any questions!

Although your best bet is to send an email to Mr. Mullen, in my personal experience, it took my optical exam 16 days to be displayed, and an email confirmation to be sent to be, that DODMETS had received my results.

My result status says on hold. There were no issues at either exam. My medical exam was on 10/6 and eye exam 10/12. Thoughts?

Read the string above....:wiggle:

On-Hold means that your DODMETS case manager found issues with the exam results that were submitted by either your optical or physical provider. Your case manager will work to resolve these issues; however, if you call, they might be able to direct you to what the issue is and if there is anything you can do on your end. Mine did the same thing... called CIV and it was resolved in 2 days!

Along these lines....does DodMEts automatically push results to each academy; let's say USNA and USAFA.

My understanding simply is "NO", DoDMETS forwards all information to DoDMERB, who then makes the call. Once DoDMERB makes a determination it is available to any SA who wants to see it, as well as any ROTC Program. The individual Academies/ROTC Programs access DoDMERB's results and get any additional records they need thru DoDMERB. DoDMETS is simply the collection agency for the information I believe.

TRUTH?

When DoDMERB renders a decision...it provided to the Academy(ies)/ROTC programs that requested certification:wiggle:

Excellent. Thank you. The DoDMERB process was initiated by USAFA as DS had that application in a few days before the USNA application; wanted to ensure that USNA could access as needed. PEr DS, his DoDMETS in "complete and hold" since 10-18-21. Based on what I read here, 1 month in complete and on hold is quite typical.
