Does the medical exam have to be done in order to be accepted EA? I started the DODMETS process when I began to apply for the USAFA, but decided to focus on the USCGA. I thought that my DODMETS was solely connected with my AFA application so I didn’t follow through with it. I expected an email from USCGA about the medical exam like USAFA did, but never received one. Now my DODMETS account is inactive and I need to call to reactivate it. Will this be an issue with EA?

You can only receive a conditional appointment without medical according to the handbook. So long as you pass it should be an issue
 
I would definitely try to get this reactivated. My DS also had his DodMERB first activated by USAFA. About a month later (10 days after the USCGA early action deadline), USCGA also requested the DoDMERB. Because they weren't first, I don't think my DS got an email from USCGA/DodMETS to start the process. Rather, we could just see on the DoDMERB site that USCGA had also requested it. So, it's possible that USCGA requested the DoDMERB for you, but you can't see it because you let it go inactive.
 
If you get your account reactivated and don’t find the request in there from USCGA then contact your AO. They had to request my DS DODMERB twice before it appeared in the account.

I got the account reactivated. How do you find whether they requested already or not?
 
If you receive an email to fillout the DoDMETS Survey and schedule an appointment for the DoDMERB physical, does that mean that the other parts of your application are accepted? Or is it the same for all applicants whether they qualify or not?

I'm not sure I understand your question. USAFA requests a DoDMERB for all competitive candidates who complete at least 4 items on their checklist (that said, you need to pass some qualifying metric on the pre-candidate questionnaire to be given the checklist and the "candidate" status) I believe that USCGA is more discerning in that they only request DoDMERB on candidates who've finished their applications and are deemed "competitive" by some measure (not entirely clear on that metric). You should complete your DoDMETS questionnaire and schedule those appointments asap. Then go to DoDMERB and see which SAs have requested this for you.

Thank you for the reply. I should have stated my question better. I was trying to figure out if you received a request for DoDMERB, can you still get rejected for non-medical reasons?

Sadly, yes. There are always more qualified candidates that open spots.
 
I finished scheduling my medical and eye exams, but I still cannot tell if USCGA requested it or not. Under the “View Status” page, it just says my case is pending. I’m not seeing anything about an “Agency”

DoDMETS just is in charge of the exams. To see who requested and ultimately your qualified status, you need to set up a login on DodMERB site and view status: https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/

Thank you! Our DS is waiting for the results appear.... I will pass it on that it may take a lil more time!
