I went through the dodmets website to set up an appointment for my remedial. They said that I needed to call Concorde to set up an appointment with a contracted doctor. I was told that they would send me an email with the location and time, but they haven't sent me anything yet.

I just called them today, but how long does it take for them to locate a doctor? Also, does this sound like normal behavior, having them send me an email with the location and time of the appointment? I would appreciate any advice in this matter, thanks.

welcome to the world of military medicine:wink:. I don't know anything about DODMETS, but in Tricare it is not uncommon for them to call you with the appointment date and time...before they ask what your availability is. At times they acted like I was crazy when I asked for the Drs contact info so I could schedule my appointment myself. Maybe they don't do that for the active duty, but it happens for dependents.

homewith4 = DoDMETS is the website for Concorde Inc (The DoDMERB Contractor that performs initial medical/optometric exams and remedical {additional consults and/or tests required by DoDMERB}).

The good news? Concorde does NOT schedule any appointments for any applicant. Applicants schedule their own appointments. This reduces the failure to appear rates tremendously, becasue the applicants KNOW what THEIR schedule is, before they schedule THEIR appointmentments.

Concorde ONLY provides the providers name, address, and phone number:thumb:
