Does DodMerb request the Remedial or the Academies?

For months my son's DoDMerb status has shown... "Current Medical Status: Remedial Requested." Does this mean his AMI has been reviewed and who is requesting the remedial?

It sounds like from what you wrote, DoDMERB has not yet determined whether your DS is medically "Qualified" or "DQ". Have they declared him DQ? If not, my belief is that DoDMERB has probably requested the remedial in order to gain more information to inform their decision. If declared "DQ", then if the SA decides to pursue the waiver they will be the source of the requested remedials

DS has not been DQ'd. He received an e-mail from DODMERB on 12/19/19, “The information you provided has been sent to the reviewer for processing." I'm hoping this meant they received his AMI but DoDMerbTriCare status still shows remedial requested. DS e-mailed his assigned Medical Technician in Feb. and recently left a voice mail, but no response yet. Hopefully, DS sent all the requested DODMERB information.
