Does LOE + Nomination mean anything?

Hello all,

I see many posts saying that LOA + nomination basically guarantees an appointment, but does a LOE + nomination mean anything?

I got a LOE a few months ago and a nomination a few weeks ago. I was wondering if this guarantees an appointment. If it doesn't, then what can this mean?

It does not guarantee you an appointment - it does exactly what it states - encourages you to apply as you show traits of former successful candidates - high grades, etc.
