Does NAPS have tours or CV's if you are selected to go there?

Just curious if anyone knows if NAPS offers visits for candidates that were selected to go there.

They do. They have their whole own NAPS weekend. Don't remember when it was (definitely the fall though cuz there was a football game) but I remember every year all the NAPSters getting bussed down to stay with mids. It's like a CVW but longer. I think they got in on a Tuesday or Wednesday and were there through the weekend.

As pleber16 stated all of NAPS comes down for an extended stay. Traditionally the football and basketball teams will also play against the USNA JV teams during this time and attend a football game. If you are asking if NAPS offers an opportunity for Midshipmen Candidate Appointees to come visit in Newport... I am not sure. Looking at the website there is info on visiting NAPS and a phone number. Give them a call and ask.

Thank you. Yes the later was what I was wondering. My DS applied to USNA but in case they offer him NAPS I was wondering if he could visit. I'll have him call when and if the time comes. Thank you for responding.

I don't recall any kind of visit program back in the day. But those were different times, my first glimpse of USNA was the NAPS visit described above. Keep in mind, there really isn't much to see at NAPS -- NAPS is essentially contained in one building. Unless things have changed, everything else (academic rooms, mess hall, and gym) are shared base facilities.

Electing to go to NAPS is not like deciding to go to State U --It's a a pretty straightforward program designed to prepare Candidates for USNA.
Unless you live nearby, a visit is really unecessay --the choice is really simple, you either want to attend USNA or don't. (Although I presume its possible, I have never heard of someone declining an offer to NAPS and successfully reapplying to USNA ).

I interpreted the question as: Does NAPS have the equivalent of a CVW for those candidates who will be attending NAPS? In other words, can a future NAPSTER visit NAPS?
