Does receiving a 3Q mean you passed the CFA?

YES! Congratulations. Do you have a nom? That would put you in the almost 50/50 category for chances of acceptance.

If you were worried about your CFA, you might want to keep running and working out with an emphasis on sit ups and push ups--I promise you will never be asked to do the kneeling basketball throw again but you have earned the privilege of complaining about it for the rest of your life.

However, the road for many is long from 3Q with a nom to acceptance. It is early January and things will be in play until almost 1 May (and even then some). So, keep faith and work on your other applications and your Army ROTC application, too. Good luck.

I noticed a while ago you said you have a DD at West Point. If I may ask, @Enthalpy, what district are you guys from?
We are from NH-02 and she (We) went through this process last year.
Congratulations GoArmy2022 on your College applications, you have obviously put the hard work in. Its not work if your doing what you are passionate about!

Thank you. I thought there was a possibility I might know your DD. Turns out I don’t, but I hope I’ll meet her when I’m there!

There is a good chance you may meet her as she is into powerlifting.
Were you recruited for a sport?

No, but I plan on joining the Army Powerlifting team! Parents wanted me to sail there lol (nothing wrong with sailing but I’ve done it all through high school and I’d rather lift)

Hi!! That's awesome you are going to be on the team. I have checked the USMA admissions site and pretty much every viewable place on the planet but I was unsure if there was even a team. I am currently in the process of applying to USMA and if I do get in, I too would like to be on the powerlifting team. IT is what I love, and I want to start competing in PL soon as well. Do you have any advice for someone looking to join the team, and also what is the schedule like for a plebe on the PL team (I've read your post about the average "day in the life" of a plebe for the everyday cadet, but I am curious to see the difference with PL involved.)

Also, who would I contact in regards to joining as in a "Questionnaire" type deal where I am expressing interest in the team. Sorry, I know this was a lot of questions thrown at you, but I was trying to make it as clear and coherent as possible.

Any information would be super helpful. Thank you so much in advance and GO ARMY!!

The tryouts are really form-heavy, so watch YouTube videos, talk to actual lifters, etc. And practice your Olympic lifting forms.

I really don’t know who you could speak to regarding your second question...I’ll have to check my resources.
