Does this count as service?

So for the past year I have picked up a new hobby of making wooden American flags. I have sold some but have also donated several to active duty sailors, soldiers, as well as a retired marine. I am also working on flags for my local sheriffs, police, and fire department. My question is- does this count as community service? These flags take several hours to make and I would like to put this on my application somehow. I attached a picture of one to give you an idea of what they look like.

This appears to be a business/hobby to me. It has good intensions, but typically service is more like spending time helping at food banks, tutoring disadvantaged children helping at a hospital and the like.

Idk if this is considered service but definitely mention this activity/hobby/whatever you want to call it during your interviews. My BGO interview was at my home so I was able to talk about and show him my model airplane collection over assembled over the years which I think he thought was interesting.

First, that is beautiful. Great craftsmanship. I don't necessarily think it counts as service, but definitely an interesting interview and possible essay material. Can be listed on a resume as a 'hobby', skill. It takes your time, skillset and I think you donating them is super cool.

And, if you are actively doing this with our current lumber prices, additional kudos to you for the donations to service members, veterans and law enforcement.

I don't think it's service, but it will look good as a business you started on the Common App. For SAs, it can be mentioned during interviews or possibly an essay.
