While looking at a form from an academy day, I noticed that the USNA tab says they average aptitude tests. I thought they super scored, can anyone verify? ImageUploadedByService Academy Forums®1430670497.974802.jpg

Look at the usna website - http://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Steps-for-Admission/index.php

The Naval Academy requires candidates to take the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT-I) or the American College Test (ACT) prior to admission. For admission purposes, the academy will evaluate candidates based on the highest score in each individual category if you elect to take these tests multiple times. You should set up testing with your high school guidance office or register online at the above sites. You may prequalify to become a candidate (applicant) using your PSAT scores, however these will not be used as final admission criteria.

Official test results are required for admission. Non-standard tests are not accepted for admission. This includes untimed ACT or SAT tests. You should have your scores forwarded to the Naval Academy using the appropriate College Code Numbers.

The SAT-I code is 5809. The ACT code is 1742.
Check with your school counselor or visit these websites for details of test dates and registration requirements: SAT and ACT. We will accept any ACT or SAT test that is taken before the January 31 application deadline, even if the results arrive after January 31. Fee waiver information for SAT and ACT.

Superscored for my DS a couple of years ago.

Must be a typo I guess. It's kind of surprising that their ACT verbal average is only a 26.

I have to assume that the statement you're referring to above is a discussion of how they compute the average scores that they release here and on their profile page. It's not for purposes of admission.

USNA super scores and converts ACT scores to SAT scores.

When my S entered in 2009, he sent in his ACT scores. When we went to the information fair in Dahlgren over the I-Day period, they had his SAT scores even though he never "officially" submitted them.

If SAT/ACT scores are included on the candidate's HS transcript, then USNA normally will include these in their file.
