My kid is soccer star and has great stats. CGA dream school. Her hold up ADHD.
I read all posts. I get factors. I get that she will have to appeal. Issue is:: HAS ANY ONE GONE TO CGA WITH ADHD HISTORY?
1. WENT OFF MEDS JULY 1. 2. TOOK SAT WITH EXTRA TIME ACCOMMODATIONS. 3. ON MEDS SCHOOL YEAR ONLY. OFF DURING SUMMER FOR 3 YEARS. 4. HAS MINOR ACCOMMODATIONS AT SCHOOL. WILL GIVE UP THIS YEAR

DOES SHE RE TAKE SAT WITH NO EXTRA TIME?

What is process after accepted?
When does she reveal?
If no diagnosis anymore, not reveal? She is being retested this summer.

Has anyone achieved CGA admission with ADHD?

Confusing here too... 2 years off meds vs. 1 year before physical. Local academy rep told us 1 year so my kid stopped, with dr. consent, July 1.

OP, check out this thread.... http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php?threads/add-disqualification.42902/

Your DD will need to be off meds for 1 one and show that her grades are maintained without drugs and no special accommodations. I am no expert in this area, but I would imagine she would need to take her SATs with no accommodations. Not sure with a July 1 stop date if a waiver could be done in time for the next school year. I think whomever is her area rep could help with these questions, especially the issue with retaking the SAT. Also contacting DoDMERB is a good start for guidance. Remember that the SA itself issues the waiver, not DoDMERB.

What is process after accepted? - Not sure as to your question here. What do you mean?
When does she reveal? - She would report this on her DoDMERB questionnaire or if it is asked on her CGA application. If it ever asked if she had special accommodations she would need to reveal this and probably specify what.
If no diagnosis anymore, not reveal? She is being retested this summer. - Regardless of diagnosis or not, if it asks if she ever took ADD/ADHD drugs for X period of time, she would have to reveal this.

There are plenty past and current cadets with ADD or ADHD (including myself). I think there's plenty of info above, so I won't add much. It was a challenge, but it was doable.
