I believe this coming Saturday, 7/9, is "Doolie Day In" and the cadets are allowed to make phone call(s). Can anyone tell me just what the phone rules are? Are they issued their cell phones and allowed to make unlimted calls that day? Do they get one call? If so, when could we expect it? Thanks very much.

If you have access to Webguy (AOG) there are a number of postings about Doolie Day In which should help answer your questions. If not, Saturday July 9 is both Field Day (in the morning) and Doolie Day In (starting at around lunch time from what I have seen posted). If this is done as it was last year or as it was done in 2009 (first Doolie Day In because of Swine Fly outbreak) -- Basics will go to Arnold Hold for a barbecue. Those who brought a cell phone to InProcessing will receive their phones and will be allowed to make as many phone calls as they want (these phone calls are not monitored -- Basics will spread out around Arnold Hall and make their calls). A large phone bank will be set up for those Basics who do not have a cell phone (large tables with many phones). I have seen posted elsewhere that Doolie Day In will start at about 12:30 and go to about 4:30 -- I don't know if that is accurate but sounds right since Field Day is in the morning. That's Mountain Time -- so keep that in mind when you think about what time your Basic may call home. Also, if your Basic left a boyfriend or girlfriend at home -- don't be surprised if BF or GF gets the first call (or multiple calls during the afternoon).

Sorry, I meant Arnold Hall in that last posting (not Arnold Hold).

Thanks for your help. I do have access to WebGuy but hadn't thought to check the forums there. Sounds like he will be issued his cell in the afternoon and free to use it for a couple of hours.
