As the title says, I just got DQ'ed for those two things. The valvular heart disease is a pulmonary stenosis, and it's so mild my cardiologist sometimes forgets that I have it. And my bee allergy is also fairly mild as well.

The letter told me that all the programs that I've applied to will automatically review my file for a possible waiver. However I've heard that you need to contact the admissions board in some way? Also, would anyone know of my chances of getting a waiver for this sort of DQ?

I just got a waiver for bee sting allergies from USMA and I didn't contact them at all specifically regarding the waiver process. Just follow all of DODMERB's requests for information, and they'll send it where it needs to go.

DQ Valvular heart disease question

two questions - not sure who to ask: quadricuspid aortic valve-2 cardiologists adamantly claim the candidate is top notch, valve will not affect performance. Is valvular heart disease an automatic 100% disqualifier? If not, are there sub-qualifiers with a valve issue? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Clearly, you R Not the candidate. Recommend the candidate email me their question; provide full name and last 4 SSN; send to Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. I can assist he/she better from there:thumb:
