So aggravated. I guess checking the box isn't worth it. I was DQ'd for a one time reaction I had when I was 8. They didn't even ask for medicals for tree nut allergy that is in my records so I had to disclose. Originally it was 2 nuts and grew out of them and I have two different based on a scratch and blood test which was 3 years ago. Need to do a nut challenge. I don't know if I should be proactive and get this done or not.
Very discouraged about this waiver process. Its not an automatic for me because I am in a ROTC program. Can't reach anyone at the school to see what I even have to do. This is for NROTC. I am willing to switch to Marine but being denied completely after three years in ROTC would be terrible.
Has anyone gotten a waiver for a tree nut allergy?. Our local army recruiter said that is all we have to proven is that it is not life threatening reaction. I also read depending on competitiveness and number of waivers, this may be the end of the road for me.
Is the dodmerb physical the end of a military career?
