My daughter is seriously considering dropping AP Biology after she returns from Christmas break. Among other things, the teacher is abominable and my husband and I are fine with her decision. However, before she does, I wanted to get some feedback on how this might be perceived by admissions. Should daughter contact her admissions counselor at the academy before dropping the class?

Current Classes
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Cal
AP Euro History
AP English
AP Art
AP Biology
+2 other classes

Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Dropping class....

Man, that a heavy course load. She must be one smart young lady. With a course load like this, she should be fine.

Merry Christmas,

RGK

PS You guys must extremely proud of her

Thank you. Yes, she works very hard in school. Her room is a different matter:thumb:

Dropping a course is fine if it doesn't show up on the 7th semester transcript. Otherwise, ask admissions.

Thanks. Spoke with daughter's liaison today and he said it wouldn't be a problem, but he is going to make some phone calls and get back to me. He did ask if the class would show up on the 7th semester transcript. I will meet with the academic dean after break and see if the class will show up.
