Just wondering, I have smoked weed once in my life, I only took one hit and I haven't smoked since. It was September of '08.
Does admitting that I have smoked weed take away my ROTC scholarship?

Are you on scholarship already?

If not, then you probably haven't filled out the paperwork where it asks that very question.

"Typically" a "one time experimentation" is not fatal...but ALL cases are looked at/reviewed individually so I can't tell you "A" for certain, "B" probably, etc...

IF you are in the process of applying for scholarship, there's a form that you'll be asked this question: DO NOT LIE ON IT! There are legal ramifications and it guarantees you're DONE/DEAD/FINISHED. Be honest and up front.

If it was a "one time experimentation" and that was that...and everything else is okay, the odds are it won't keep you out. But again, that's a "one for one, case by case" determination.

I am already a recipient of a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship and I start school very soon. On the paperwork I was completely honest and wrote the date of the occurence and the fact that it was one hit of it. I feel horrible but I can't see them revoking my scholarship for a one time thing. Its not like I'm a habitual pot smoker or anything like that.
