DS going NRTOC NO How do we describe ourselves

Getting ready for DS to graduate next week and as we are getting ready to decorate for his party and family events. We bought American Flags for all 20 members who are coming to see him graduate and I am bringing his Don’t Give Up The Ship flag he has in his bedroom. But my wife asked me can we use Navy decorations, and also asked me about US Navy Chords and Shawls she saw on Facebook. It dawned on me, how do we describe ourselves, can we call ourselves a Proud Navy Mom or Dad, or are we Proud NROTC parents. Can we fly a US Navy flag in front of our house to support him. Can she wear a Navy Mom shirt she saw on line? We want to make sure we are buttoned up for this week.
