DS - Qualified academically, medically, and physically; 3Q on NWL

I actually have a related question. I’ve been medically qualified and physically qualified with my application complete since November. I assume I’m academically qualified as well with a 33 ACT on both math and English. My status has not changed from “App on File” at all. Does this simply mean my file has not been to the board yet? I would think my status would have gone to hold by now. Does anyone know what this means? Any candidates in my same position?

My ds is in the same boat, however medically dqed for dodmerb. His status is app on file however.

I was wondering the same thing for a while. I was medically DQ'd but everything else was good, and I was worried about being stuck in "App On File" status. I just received an offer of appointment on Monday, so I am inclined to believe that being stuck on "App on File" is not necessarily a bad thing. Also, I was without a waiver from November until Monday (February 25th). I was contacted by admissions around the same time my portal showed my medical status as "pending" saying they were in the process of requesting a waiver, and this was at the beginning of January. Hope some of this helps, and I hope to see you guys around at KP come this summer!

Congrats! May I ask how long it took from when additional medical tests/extra paperwork were submitted until you were notified you had received a waiver?

A little over 3 months... It took quite a while, and the best part is my DQ was for something I didn't have... Sorta annoying and was disheartening at the time, but it all worked out. Don't let DoDMERB get you down, and be persistent!
