DS Received LOA on 09/26

My DS just received LOA while at WP this weekend. He is black; attended SLE; has pres nom; passed med in Aug. We are excited. Hope to get called for MOC interview next month.

His SAT (Jan 2015) and grades are great. All county in his sport; team captain; class president.
 
Congratulations! Your DS is almost to the goal line of receiving an appointment to WP. Hopefully it is his dream to get a great education and become the best officer possible.
 
Thanks! He wants to serve his Nation as an officer. He was also invited to the USNA summer week - but that would have meant 2 weeks from school. He did pass the CFA at SLE, so that's done.

He will NOT drop his pack! Still marching forward - want that appointment!!
 
Congrats! He sounds like a great kid. What is the LOA contingent on now? Since he has the presidential Nom, passed DODMERB, CFA and is academically qualified, he should be getting the appointment very soon!

Congrats! But purely because I am a USNA guy and see Marine in your title I hope he goes to USNA! Either way he sounds like an amazing young man and our nation is lucky he has chosen this path. Good luck!
 
Yes, I am a Marine officer. I still believe there is a chance he will get a USNA appt, and decide to go.
