EA App Status

My daughter completed her EA application nearing the deadline. It looked as though her recommendation providers had as well. I was wondering if anyone else that submitted their app around this time has had updates on Bear's Den as far as status? The app appeared to only require self reported test scores and transcripts, but she's concerned that the PFE is updated in Bear's Den, but not Transcript or Test Scores.

From what I've heard from the Admissions Officers, the EA applications are evaluated in the order they were received. However, they didn't start evaluating any of the applications until recently. I am not sure about what it means if certain items are updated or not, but I would not be concerned that there has not been a change in status yet.

If she had transcripts sent from her school and uploaded her test scores, I wouldn’t worry too much about the status updates. Last year my son had an interview in October but I don’t think the status ever changed until he was notified of the admission decision. She could also reach out to her admissions officer to double check on it.

I submitted mine recently as well. My AO said that it takes about a week for your application to be processed through bears den. Mine initially said only the SAT scores were in but as of today it got updated to “ready for review”. He also said you have until the end of the month to get anything else in.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a feeling she'll double check with the AO to make sure everything is accounted for.

Where does it say ready to review at? My daughter submitted everything prior to the deadline and her bears den just says submitted? Thanks

DS received an email a few weeks ago that his application was ready for review then the next day an email telling him he'll be getting an interview. He's doing the interview this week so does that mean his package will be reviewed later?

Just Curious, did your DS attend Aim?

I’m not sure but Acceptances seems to come out in batches. Last year I think the 1st one was 11/14. 12/22 a lot of applicants found out they were deferred or rejected. There is a thread on here that was self updated as applicants received offers.

The admissions team is probably just processing her documents. Her bears den should update sometime soon. CGA admissions is extremely thorough and it’s unlikely that they missed anything.

Hats off to the men & women working hard in admissions. With respect I say this.... my cadet's application had a huge oversight from admissions last year. As well as another classmate. It was caught in time and brought to the attention of admissions. Please, please, please double check everything and stay on top things. We may have had an entirely different outcome (as well as the classmate) if we hadn't caught this and followed thru with admissions to correct. They are doing a great job, but they are human and make mistakes.

I am applying for early action as well and submitted my application in early October On the 15th I received an email stating my application was “scheduled for review” and would be reviewed by the CCEB within the next two weeks. I’d keep an eye out for something of that nature as they begin reviewing applications.
