Eagle Schedule Summer 2009

Its always recommended to avoid a greased pig.....but if you chooses to wrestle with one.....at some point you will realize that the pig is enjoying the process......

Oh believe me, that stuff will get done, no prob., I wouldn't worry to much about my job if I were you.

The Day

New London - The Coast Guard barque Eagle left New London Friday for a routine training trip to Little Creek, Va.

The permanent crew will train for two weeks to refresh their damage control, ship handling and navigation skills. Then a class of officer candidates will come aboard for a 10-day Officer Candidate School training cruise, with the ship returning to New London at the end of March.

On April 20, the Eagle is scheduled to leave for Rota, Spain, to meet the first group of cadets who are sailing this summer as part of the summer training program.

Flew in a C-130 from Lakenheath, UK to Grafenwoehr, Germany...if that's what you flew in for a trans-Atlantic flight, more power to you. I was partial to the C-17 myself!!! :thumb:

I flew in a C130 from Okinawa to Korea... I laughed when they game me earplugs.... until I needed them...

My hubby works on the C17s here at McChord.. Very cool....

I was on the Eagle last year at the Tacoma Tall Ship Festival.. It was incredible.... My Joyce was at AIM... LOL
