Sealion,
Thanks for posting the link! In the video did you see how close the ship came to the deck of the bridge?? Yea it was close.... only a few feet! Good thing the tide was out! Amazing Captain!
We waited in line for about 1 hour and 20 mins...... well worth the wait.
(I'm the funny looking kid carrying the PFDs onto the Pier in the blue parka w/ white collar device.)
I was the A-Nav on board, so I helped with all the navigation briefs for Portsmouth. Our air draft under the bridge was calculated to be 3.86 feet, but both times we passed underneath I was chanting to myself "Think short thoughts, think short thoughts." From on deck it certainly seemed like we were going to hit. I certainly breathed a huge sigh of relief once we past and clear.
Welcome CT I'm glad you found this forum! Tell us some more about your (2/c) summer. Inquiring minds want to know. I have been filling people in about the swabs and 3/c's.
