and a large white, priority mail envelope awaited us...It is now official, Appointment to USCGA dated 12/3/08.
Okay, here it is. A deferral.
Letter starts with: "This year we received a record number of highly qualified Early Action applicants, exceeding the number of appoinments we set aside. After a thorough review of your record by the Cadet Candidate Evaluation Board, we have decided to defer your application to Regular Admissions. Historically, a significant portion of Early Action applicants will receive appointments later and your record will be reconsidered..."
Okay, my husband remembers that from the Admissions Brief at AIM, that they said about 60% of EA applicants who don't get EA appointments, end up getting them under regular admission...so we continue to watch and pray. See you on these boards for the next several months
and a large white, priority mail envelope awaited us...It is now official, Appointment to USCGA dated 12/3/08. I hope the best for those of you awaiting word. Soon, you will hear something if you were in the EA pool, I believe. Good Lcck!!
Thank you so much, the same goes for you. Okay now back to waiting for the mailBut will keep my fingers crossed for you as well as me!
That is what I was just thinking. Dont they realize they need to run to our houses with the mail? LOL
date that application was complete.
For those of you who received a "you're IN" letter, please tell us what was the date of your letter that said "your application is complete"?
Comparing your letter's date to one's own "application complete" letter might help us figure out where our applicant is in the rounds.
Although, my understanding is that everyone who was an EA applicant will be sent SOME news one way or the other by Christmas.
For those who got THE letter--did your status on DODMERB site change? My sons status changed once when he got his LOA to USMMA and once when he got his appointment, just wondering if it does the same for USCGA as he is an applicant there as well.
