I think at this point, the CFA is my biggest stumbling block. I was under the impression that if they didn't like your score, they would ask you to retake it automatically, so I did it Oct 29 so I could meet the EA deadline. Haven't been asked to retake it yet, but I know I didn't do stellar...I think I got 74 sit ups, 30 pushups, 1 pullup, 36 bball throw, 8:45 mile (eesh, I know) and 11.3 ish on the shuttle. Hoping those scores aren't disqualifying, but we will see.Baileydb, hang in there, stay positive, and enjoy your senior year. Remember, MOST of the appointments aren't received until March. It really is the minority that is hearing this early. It just seems like a high number, probably because a high amount of individuals who seek information on this forum are your top tier candidates and those from military families (eligible for Pres. nom).
My DD is one of those holding up the slate with no CFA...She took it at NASS, and "passed" but didn't do any pull ups, so she hasn't submitted any scores to USAFA. She planned to retake in early October after working out really hard, only to tweak her ankle in a soccer game. So needless to say, she didn't want to take it again until she is back in running shape too. If all goes as planned she will retake first week of January and should be able to knock out at least 3 pull-ups.
baileydb, I am a USAF Reservist of 23 years and you have to include a copy of your Dad's Point Summary showing he has the minimum number of points or a copy of the "20 year Letter" that says he is eligible to retire. If you have not heard back from USAFA and it isn't showing in your portal then contact your counselor. My DS simply emailed the form and a scan of my point summary to his counselor and it showed up in the portal about a week later. It isn't too late to get the paperwork in.
Thank you for the suggestion. I e-mailed her asking if USAFA received the paperwork, and all I got back was "I do have your presidential nomination paperwork. I received it on 8 Sep." I am not sure whether I should reply asking about the status of my nomination or if that would be bugging her too much?
What do you think?

They are almost certainly not going to settle the Presidential Nom appointees (there will only be 100) until very late in the process. I wouldn't bother them about it. Work on what you can control.
