Early decision VMI

Hello, my names josh and I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the early decision process to get into VMI, and also is it true I can apply for it as a highschool junior? Or do I have to wait till I’m a senior?

VMI applications process opens 01 August. You apply after you complete junior year of HS. Early Decision timeline is on their website.

I will be attending VMI this year and also applied for early decision in Fall 21. My experience was that only seniors apply, and I received my early decision acceptance around Mid-November. Hope this helps!

VMI's application process begins August 1 and the deadline for early admission is November 15. If you are certain that VMI is where you want to go, then early admission shows a strong and sincere interest to the school. If accepted, it locks you in, but if that's where you wanted to go in the first place, then great!

Hi, I'm currently attending VMI and I also applied Early Decision.

I applied in the fall semester of my senior year and got my acceptance letter by early-to-mid November (I can't remember the exact date, sorry). There should be more information on the below link on how exactly to apply. Hope this helps and good luck.

The VMI admissions office tries really hard to have as many of the early admission acceptance letters done by Nov 11 as that is VMI's Founder's day.

I only know this because my Brother Rat is the acting Director of Admissions.

My son just applied for VMI early admission. To quote Tom Petty "the waiting is the hardest part". It's his number one choice so hoping he gets in. He's got pretty solid grades, pretty good SAT scores, and is active in CAP and other activities in school and out. Again, fingers crossed!
