This just announced today, and I do not have any further information on 2d Session of CSI, Cadre Training or Fall Semester. The Marines will likely use one or two of the 5 barracks on campus beginning Monday through August for about 500 recruits, instructors and medical staff. See Announcement:

Thanks @glen for the update. Definitely an interesting twist. Hard to imagine that CSI would happen with this announcement - Assuming that the poolees and the CSI attendees would have to share common facilities (mess hall). Thanks for keeping us updated. Maintaining the recruits at PI is more important during these uncertain times.

Now we know why it was "2nd and 3rd Battalions come clean out your **** - TOMORROW !!!!"

“This partnership is reminiscent of the Second World War, when The Citadel campus supported over 10,000 military personnel training in various programs before shipping overseas,” Walters said. “This is an historic partnership at a time of need, and it is a privilege to be a part of it.”

Communication with General Walter's aid this am - CSI 2d session is still a possibility, no decision has been made as of this morning. Same for Cadre Training.

A few years ago I did a course put on by the University of Virginia's School of Education. I have a student number and transcript and the whole nine. Once the credits posted I bought a UVA T-shirt and bragged to my son I was a UVA alum. He graduated from a mid-ranked school in the same state but spoiled my fun when he said he didn't care and it was only one course taken at a hotel for kids.

Here's the rest of the story. The course was in the summer at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg and most or probably all other teachers took their family or at least their kids. We were supposed to pair up in rooms so as to save the government some money. The part I must have not heard was "if your roommate doesn't show up let us know so we can double up the rooms." I spent the week in a big room with full kitchen, full bedroom with bath in a loft, and the balcony overlooked the pool. It was kind of weird being alone in a big room looking out over families in full frolic. I did the course and got the T-shirt though from the great UVA.
