Hello all! I am currently in the process of working out a waiver for USAFA. In November, I received a principal nomination from my congressman and finished my application on time. After asking for a remedial, the DoDMERB disqualified me on January 11 for eczema. I immediately sent in 2 letters - one from my doctor and one from a doctor who graduated from USAFA. On January 25th, the Air Force Academy requested a waiver for me. It has been 6 weeks and I have not heard anything. What I am concerned about is that both of my portals haven’t changed. My DoDMERB portal has said pending submission waiver and review since I got disqualified, and my USAFA portal says that my application is complete but medically disqualified. Is this what the portals are supposed to say at this stage?

nash -- I think your portals are correct at this stage of the process. Typically, (from our experience) you will hear definitively via a specific correspondence (email or pdf)) from the Academy that either your waiver has been denied or been granted before (or simultaneous with) your portals changing

Don’t they have to answer before the April 15 deadline if you have an Loa

Because I’m just sent in my things for the waiver last Thursday and my RC told me that at this point the doctors at Usma will either qualify or disqualify
