Effect of waiver on appointment

Medical Waiver

does this mean that even if a medical waiver has been granted (in my case, a medical waiver was granted, and my status returned to qualified), i will still be considered a "special case" to the admissions board? In other words, is the medical status just a "yes" or "no" on the admissions file (like i understand the CFA to be), or does it say "yes... but with a waiver"??

Same question on that

Then also, if it is possible for you to be waiting for a waiver past the time where there are still available appointments, is there any way I can find out where my waiver is in the process or (and I know that no one knows but) HOW LONG. I've been waiting on this waiver for a couple months now with no word. Other SA's have asked for more info, which I gave immediately, but USNA (it seems) has given now attention to my waiver?

Hopeful: Have you contacted your BGO or RD in this regard? That would seem to be your next step. Noone responding here will have that information available to them; the answer resides in Leahy Hall.

EWNordy - Re: your question, as was noted by a previous responder, the fact that you hold a waiver will have an impact on your overall (composite) score when your file goes before the Admissions Board. Consider this alternative: if you didn't get the waiver you would be found to be medically disqualified.
