Elbow Surgery and DoDMERB

My daughter just received her award notification for a four-year ROTC Scholarship, and then a few weeks later was wrestling for regionals and hurt her elbow. Heard and felt a pop on the inside part of her elbow. The doctor said she is going to need surgery to repair the damage. She has not taken her DoDMERB physical yet.

How do we proceed so she doesn't lose her scholarship? Should we wait on starting the DoDMERB physical? Is there anything to do to make sure she is not DQ'd?

She should contact her assigned DoDMERB tech, update her medical history and discuss next steps. The sooner the better, so she knows what records and information she will have to collect along the way, as well as discuss what to about her appointment.
