Encampment Vs. SAT

Hi everyone, hope you're all staying healthy!
I'm having a little bit of trouble deciding if encampment or another SAT test has more value. I'm a current junior with a below average SAT. I was supposed to retake it in March and May, but both got cancelled (I was devastated). I signed up for the June one, but then realized my CAP Wing's encampment overlaps. Should I retake my SAT or go to encampment? What will look better to USAFA? I'm pretty confident I can raise my score in June.

For now, I haven't heard of any additional tests to makeup the March and May ones.

Thanks,
Zoe

That would leave you, what, one shot at the test in the fall or would you still have two test dates prior the application deadline? If only one, and your current score is indeed below average, I’d take a hard look at the 60/30/10 rubric for the WCS - 60 being academics and the SAT/ACT being a large factor in that and, well, you may have your answer. Ultimately up to you though.

talk to CAP... they may let you arrive late or leave early especially if you explain the situation

There's no guarantee either will happen, so make plans to do both, and add the ACT as well. In these times of uncertainty I wouldn't close any door early or unnecessarily.

Have you tried taking the ACT? That might be another option, too. Sometimes kids do better on one test versus the other.
Yes, I've taken the ACT twice. I did pretty bad the first time, so I took it again, and my score actually decreased the second time around. I'll probably stick to the SAT since the 3 times I've taken it, my score has gone up.
