So my situation with the English Teacher Recommendation is a little unusual. I've had a different English teacher each year of high school, so I had to choose my most recent one. My English class this year was online through a local college, but I emailed my professor and explained to her what the recommendation was and asked if she would be okay with filling it out. She said that she would be happy to fill it out. So, about a month ago I put her name and email in for the recommendation. A couple weeks went by, and she (and my math teacher) hadn't filled it out. I had my admissions counselor resend the links. After that, my math teacher filled his out, but my English teacher still hasn't. I sent her an emailing saying that she could go ahead and fill it out, but she never replied to me. Any advice on what I should do?

Find a way to speak to her by phone, drive to her, or find a new English teacher to provide the recommendation. Before doing the last, check with admissions to make sure they are aware and your approach is within the guidelines. It's possible the email with links is ending up in the English teachers spam folder so she may be unaware it was sent.

There are other similar threads to what you are asking. Assuming the information isn't lost in the spam folder, these are EVALUATIONS (not RECOMMENDATIONS) and it can be either a junior or senior year instructor. It is not simply someone saying you are 'good at math' that USNA is interested in. The purpose is to also evaluate how well you interacted with other students, handled adversity....etc. as a result of their daily/live interaction with you. If this online class means you never interacted live, that instructor may not have enough first-hand knowledge of you to effectively complete the evaluation. You are probably better off choosing the other year instructor. Or you can contact USNA to determine how to proceed since you are obviously not the first applicant to have this issue.
