it seems as though very few enlisted apply to the Naval Academy every year. and I happen to be one of the few, especially being on a submarine. Is my package viewed in a different category then highschool graduates or are we all in the same pool. I just got back from doing active duty stuff and I still noticed my portal said CPR and it is driving me insane

Many are still waiting in CPR mode, from all nom categories. Could be tomorrow, could be in April. The waiting game insanity is not an exclusive club.
Hang in there.

Yes your packet is viewed differently than direct admits or even re-applicants. It's not uncommon for a prior to not hear until March or April. They usually take all the prior enlisted applicants and look your full body of work, age, College level work, etc. Hang in there. The good news is you have a direct line to your admissions counselor, the Chief. If you haven't introduced yourself, drop him an email.

An FYI, me and the two other Fleet applicants I talk to are still CPR. Best of luck.

Nemo and CTNope, of all people applied you two should be the last one who couldn't handle "hurry up and wait"! Smh...

Yeah? Do you mean they tell you that? Or do you mean they are the buttercups? :)

CTNope

They had 20 enlisted Navy in the class of 2020. You will be fine if you have made the grade. Stand by. You know the drill, hurry up and wait. Good luck to you.

DS had a roommate who was prior enlisted. During PS it was an advantage and on some of the proknow quizzes. Great guy, but had to be talked out of quitting several times. The lack of freedom and lifestyle at the academy was not what he expected. He's still there and my DS thought he was nice, but quiet.

Maybe he didn't set himself up with the right expectation. Going directly from the fleet you get a second Bootcamp during Plebe Summer. Going via NAPS, well, you get 3 bootcamps total (you get to drive your own vehicle at NAPS, then lose that privilege as a Plebe).
