Enlisted Airman CFA Scores

I'm almost in the same situation, with a very strong application but also low standardized tests scores. I come from another country and I speak multiple languages and that might help me, I also got 2 nominations (I'm applying to USMA). I really understand how frustrating it is to know that you have a low score, I just wish you the best of luck!
Thank you so much, I wish you the best of luck! I pray that you make it!

My son did 30-60 min of Mathchops everyday for 6 weeks leading up to the test. They give you questions in a timed format and give you real time feedback on SAT or ACT math scores that you have to work up to. Can be done at home and its pretty cheap ($8/mo). He raised his SAT math score 60 pts (not huge, but an improvement nonetheless) from one test to the next.

I had a similar situation but slightly better test scores, and they sent me here to the Prep school. I am really glad I am here, because it is helping me touch up the topics I haven't done in over 4 years. The prep is where they send most of the prior enlisted folks, unless you had absolutely insane scores with college while enlisted or if you are too old to go to the prep school.

Still seeking advice!!

Did you pick-up any ACT/SAT prep books? Check out the Khan Academy resources?
I’ve used the khan academy resources before, but I received my candidate packet in the middle of November. So I had to hustle to get my checklist completed by the deadline also while still having to complete my CDCs!

I wouldn’t mind going to the prep school at all! I’m willing to do anything to become a USAFA graduate.

Have you checked out the LEAD program for enlisted Airmen? I don't know much about it but the academy admissions website has more info. They give out appointments to enlistees.
Yessir, I applied for the LEAD program for the c/o 2026

hey just wanted to say i applied through the LEAD program last year and am currently at the Prep School now, feel free to hit me up if you have any questions!

Your CFA scores are way better than mine. Are there nominations specifically reserved for enlisted airmen?
Honestly I’m not sure. I know most enlisted airmen get sent to the prep school to get back acclimated to the school environment.

I believe there are nominations available for enlisted airmen from their commanders, in addition to their congressional representatives and any other applicable nomination.
